Netflix Expands Crackdown On Password Sharing Worldwide

Netflix on Tuesday expanded its crackdown on users sharing passwords with people beyond their immediate family as it seeks to shore up revenue at the leading streaming television service. "A Netflix account is for use by one household," the company said in a statement. Netflix said early this year that more than 100 million households were sharing accounts at the service, "impacting our ability to invest in great new TV and films." Netflix has experimented with "borrower" or "shared" accounts, in which subscribers can add extra users for a higher price or transfer viewing profiles to separate accounts, in a few markets. On Tuesday, it announced that it was expanding the policy to more than 100 countries. As growth at Netflix cooled last year, the Silicon Valley- based streaming company set out to nudge people watching for free with shared passwords to begin paying for the service without alienating subscribers. "This account sharing ini...

Former Indian head coach and cricketer Ravi Shastri revealed his combined Indian Test XI selecting players from the two ICC World Test Championship finalists, India and Australia. The WTC final is now a fortnight away. In the recent episode of the ICC Review, Shastri admitted that he found the task of building a combined playing XI difficult due to the sheer amount of world-class talent available on both sides. But the India great stuck his neck out and settled on a final XI, in which surprisingly only four Indian players could make the cut. While weighing out his captaincy options Shastri decided to go with Rohit Sharma instead of Steve Smith. "I would give the captaincy to Rohit because he's much more experienced than Pat," Shastri said as quoted by ICC. "He's been around and he's captained sides for a long time. If Steve Smith was captain of Australia, then maybe it's a different story, but since it's Pat Cummins and Rohit Sharma, Rohit wins it....

Prince Harry's Friend On How He Described Meghan Markle After 1st Date

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no strangers to headlines. The couple, who got married in a dreamy ceremony in 2018, has often become the topic of major discussions due to their rather strained relationship with the Crown as well as the English media. A lot has also been said about the whirlwind romance between Prince Harry, one of the most popular members of the British royal family, and American actress Meghan Markle. Now, a book claims to share more details of the relationship including how Prince Harry described Meghan Markle after their first date. As per the authors of ‘Finding Freedom', Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, the couple's first date involved them asking each other “questions about their work”. Virat Kohli Surpasses Chris Gayle, Becomes Player With Most IPL Centuries

Virat Kohli was the lone ranger as his second successive century powered Royal Challengers Bangalore to a challenging 197 for five in their must-win final IPL league game against Gujarat Titans here on Sunday. With the rain gods threatening to spoil RCB's play-off plans during the day, the match that started half an hour late saw Kohli (101 not out off 61 balls) bring back his 2016 avatar. He held all the aces during his knock that had 13 fours and a six. His innings was priceless in the context that none of the other RCB batters could even reach 30 and just like the good old days, 'King Kohli' set the narrative by playing with line, length and minds of the bowlers. This is his seventh IPL hundred and he has now surpassed Chris Gayle as the batter with highest number of tournament tons. Considering that the Chinnaswamy Stadium is known for batting belters, the final total, though competitive enough, could still be about 10 runs below par. Kohli and skipper Faf Du Plessis...

Congress Leader's "Tea-Pakora" Lesson For AAP Over Delhi Postings Row

Congress leader and former Union minister Ajay Maken on Sunday said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should follow the "Sheila Dikshit model" of engaging with officers respectfully, holding dialogues with them rather than "mistreating" them, and persuading them to work for the city's advancement. He also said Mr Kejriwal's past actions of summoning officers and allegedly using harsh words against them are only contributing to the City's distress. Mr Maken's advice came as the Delhi government is engaged in a battle with the Centre over the control of the city's bureaucracy. Sharing his own experiences as a minister in the Sheila Dikshit government in Delhi during the BJP-led NDA regime at the centre in early 2000s, Mr Maken said they worked with the bureaucracy to get things done in Delhi's interest. "I hope the current Chief Minister takes note of this journey and learns from it. Engage with officers respectfully, hold dialogues...
